Back, for a bit

I'm back, though I suspect not for long. My mother is very unwell and is not expected to last much longer, so in all likelihood I will have to take off again in a matter of days. She has been ill for some time now, so it's not unexpected. But still...

Thank you all for your kind comments, emails and texts. I really appreciate your kind thoughts and wishes.

For the first time in a long time the weather was actually beautiful while I was up north, so one evening we all took some time out from hospital visiting to go to the beach. Isn't the moon on the sea beautiful?

This is quite a small beach near where my sister now lives. We used to have a caravan here when we were kids and had many holidays on this beach. Happy sad memories.

I went through much the same situation with my Mom and sister a few years ago, so I'm no stranger to what you are experiencing now. Yet I cannot say that I "know how you feel," because I don't. But I do offer the thought of a shoulder and a hug should it be needed and appropriate.

It was lovely to get down to the beach, we had two daft dogs racing around on the sands while I was taking these pictures so it wasn't quite as peaceful as it looks! Just what we needed though.
