Date: 2011-12-26 10:56 pm (UTC)BTW we did get just enough snow the morning of the 24th so that this year qualifies as a White Christmas. It was comparatively warm while snowing. Flakes were colliding and sticking together as they fell. I'd swear they were the size of saucers!

Date: 2011-12-24 04:52 pm (UTC)As lovely as that picture is (look at the direction of the ice crystals on the fence!) I'm very glad our weather isn't like that this year. Last year we had multiple snowstorms of a foot or more; we wound up with a permanent two-foot snow cover because so little of it melted in between storms. This year it's only snowed ONCE, and that was at the end of October (causing an enormous power outage that lasted more than a week, but that's another story). It's not as pretty out there, but it saves on shoveling.

Date: 2011-12-24 07:59 pm (UTC)Ditto the weather here! Last year's sub zero temperatures were almost unprecedented on the West Coast of Scotland. We very rarely have snow that lies for any length of time, the climate is far too maritime. Rain and gales are usually our lot for winter!

Date: 2011-12-26 10:57 am (UTC)I have to admit that I am not mourning the lack of snow here
I can imagine! I remember that picture of the ice encrusted lighthouse you posted last year. Amazing!

Date: 2011-12-29 09:08 pm (UTC)ou did notice the little guy in frills on the cover, didn´t you? *squees*
To my shame, I wrapped the book without noticing the little frilly guy, so you'll just have to post a picture of him!
there was a rainbow, for crying out loud. While "White Christmas" was playing on the radio. I could almost *see* Saint Peter giving me the finger!
It's a conspiracy I tell ya!
