Seasick at Spithead

Hello from the Outer Hebrides! Let's see how my iPhone copes with posting from the uttermost west.

Well the shipping forecast was right last Friday. The crossing went from calm to moderate to rough. Daughter went an amazing shade of green that would have impressed even Horatio, but she survived.

This was the calm to moderate bit...

An hour later, we hit the rough bit :}

On Saturday we went to a gala day at one of the beaches. The weather was wild but we had fun regardless. Sister and niece spent most of the afternoon spinning around in speedboats, but after the previous day's crossing I politely declined. I prefer my maritime adventures in print!

Aye it was a bit rough. I just hit the deck and stayed there till we were in sight of harbour. Toots and partner were stretched out on the seats so I had to make do with the floor :}

Hehe, the second picture looks like the last sign of life becore the connection fails and the ship is lost forever in the fog. XD

I am perfectly recovered thank you. A glass of something fortifying before we reached port revived my spirits adequately. However I have no desire to repeat the experience!

I'm telling you, if I'd had to stay upright a moment longer, I'd have been green too! Luckily toots saw sense and lay down for the rest of the crossing enabling me to do the same. I had to lie on the bloody floor though!
