Walking through the park 8 AM in the morning

Phew! Thank goodness the first week back at work is over. It's been a busy but thankfully uneventful week. As I said to esmerelda_t the other night, it was a bit of shock to the system to rediscover that I am a working-mum rather than a sit-on-the-couch-on-my-arse-mum, which is kinda what I was for most of the Christmas holidays! ;)

Today is my day off work so I spent most of the morning on the phone to nodbear catching up with our navyboy research. It's really exciting to be getting going on this again after taking a break over Christmas :) Hopefully I'll have a chance to catch up with posts and comments over the weekend too.

The weather's got much colder here over the last few days but it's still really quite mild. Everything looks soft and grey and green today. Yesterday was ridiculously foggy though, I could hardly see two feet in front me walking through the park on my way to work and it was almost pitch dark!

It was glorious fog! I am rather fond of fog (unless I am delayed on a plane). It was quite dramatic walking through the park in this.

What a lovely picture! Early mornings are absolutely wonderful. I used to go for a run at around 6.15 almost every day and I loved the silence and mystery of that time of morning. It's very inspiring.

Wow! Running at 6.15?! I admire your dedication! I'm afraid I am not a morning person at all :} The only reason I was walking through the park this early is that daughter's school bus is ridiculously early in the morning:}

I yearn for snow and ice, even though those things are rare over here.
They're pretty rare on the west coast of Scotland here. Snow never lies for long here. Rain and gales are our typical winter weather.

Same here: warm, foggy. But they predicted snow for the weekend or next week. I'd love a bit snow in winter :)

I rather like snow too, but we don't get much of it here. It's too wet and windy most of the time.

At the moment her ambition is to be a gardner or an artist. Possibly both. At the same time ;)
