Off the radar
Mar. 22nd, 2013 11:43 pmApologies for being a bit off the radar at the moment, RL is going through an awfully busy patch. I'm up to my eyes in conference presentations, abstracts and event planning. To say nothing of the tail end of the annual Aquarian and Piscean birthday extravaganza :) I'm away again next week but hopefully after that I'll have a bit more time to catch breath. In other news, winter has finally arrived in the West of Scotland and at last we have some snow! We seem to be the only place in the northern hemisphere that has avoided the snow so far this winter.
Horatio was struggling to get his abstract on
"Breeches vs Trowsers: A poststructural deconstruction of naval unmentionables"
down to three hundred words.

Date: 2013-03-23 06:19 pm (UTC)We've had a ridiculously mild winter compared to the rest of the country. Plenty of the usual grey skies and endless rain though!

Date: 2013-03-24 03:59 pm (UTC)I hadn't seen Pan and the goat but I have now. How splendid! I love classical porn :) We found a double phallic brooch on a Roman excavation I worked on once. It was a popular symbol worn by centurions. Of course it was worn with the phalluses pointing upwards but when we passed it on to the museum they photographed it upside down which made it look rather flaccid and sad!
