The Golden Duke?

Some of you may remember the Conegate scandal that hit Glasgow last year, when the City Council announced plans to prevent well lubricated Glaswegians from adorning the Duke of Wellington with his traditional traffic cone headgear. It's just as well that the council backed down, because look at the old boy now! The London Olympics may have had their golden post boxes, but look what we've got at the Glasgow Commonwealth Games! XD

Perhaps would be right to leave it there? ;-)
But I think Duke would be upset if students are not able to repeat this joke every time again.

It's fabulous isn't it? :) The Duke usually wears a plain orange traffic cone, sometimes his horse has one too! I don't know how long the fabulous gold cone will last after the Commonwealth Games ends today though.
