The ideal AoS holiday home?

Anyone got a spare €20 million or so down the back of the couch? If so there's a little property in Sicily that you might be interested in. Nelson's Villa La Falconara in Taormina is for sale and although there's no price on the sellers website, I've read elsewhere that the price is between €15 and €20 million. Actually it's been on the market for several years, but I only came across it recently. Estate agent's blurb as follows:

Villa La Falconara also known as Villa Nelson is for sale and stands on a hill overlooking the beautiful bay of Naxos. The Historic Estate was commissioned built in 1780 by Admiral Horatio Nelson. This luxury Sicilian villa is just 500 meters from the historic center of Taormina. The villa is built on three floors, of approximately 11,000 square feet total and is situated in a beautiful park with an area of roughly 10 acres stretching along its entire length of the sea below. Adjacent to the primary residence and park is another structure comprising a garage and home with 3 beds and baths sitting on another 2 acres of gardens that has been zoned for a small luxury hotel. Picturing Nelson lounging in the pool! He seems the sort of guy who would like loud shorts and an umbrella drink! Of course, since it is his house he need not wear anything at all.

He can keep a coach in the garage, and call up some sailors when needed to pull him through the street and cheer.

Ned is shuddering at the concept of an umbrella drink but thinks the grandkids would like the pool, though he doesn't think it looks made for diving ..;

It's a bit big for one alone, isn't it? :) If I had the money, I think, I would buy it for all the fellow fangirls, to hang around that (not so deep) pool, having young sailors half nekkikd dancing, serving drinks and fruits and ice cream :) lol. Listening to the noise of Nelson rotating in his grave.

It's funny how everyone's thoughts are running on what a fantastic fangirl hangout it would be - that was my first thought too! Now we just need to find a millionaire benefactor and convince him (or her!) that a Home for Distressed Age of Sail Fangirls is a most worthy cause...
