Escape to Berlin

I've fled the dust and the chaos at home for a few days and escaped to Berlin where I've been invited to speak at a conference. I've always rather liked Berlin, I used to come here for work quite often and I have very fond memories of the city. The first time I came here I saw the sun setting over Unter den Linden from the dome of the Reichstag and I've loved it ever since. Berlin also has a fabulous tango scene and, though I didn't bring my shoes with me this time, I've had some wonderful dances here in the past. This time I've had an extra special treat as dear esteven came to meet me and we spent a glorious afternoon enjoying lunch, wondering around the city and visiting the beautiful Hackesche Höfe. I almost feel like I'm on holiday!
