...for my lovely New Year gift! It arrived earlier in the week, but I have been travelling for work for the last few days, to my thanks are rather delayed. Everything is so beautifully packaged and the arare are delicious! I have tried plain savoury arare before, but never sweet ones. I've been nibbling them with my morning coffee and I have to confess they are nearly gone already! :}

Thank you!

Arare is the Japanese rice cracker, usually soy-sauce flavoured. These ones are small arare covered with chocolate :)

They're little rice crackers as [livejournal.com profile] katriona_s explained. The combination of sweet and savoury is rather unusual to Western tastes I think, but they're quite delicious! :)

Ah! Thank you. Never heard of it before. But I'm not that of a world citizen I would like to be :)
