Update: Fangirls, Indyboys and Kitties

Apologies for the complete radio silence of late. Work is being a pain in the ass again and taking up pretty much all my time. However, last week I had the very great pleasure of having dear nodbear to stay for a whole week! Unfortunately I was working for most of it, but we did manage to spend some quality time with our Indyboys and put in a couple of good shifts on our book. Against all the odds, the end is actually in sight! (If you squint and it's a clear day ;) Last week wasn't all work and no play though, we took some time out on Friday to meet esmerelda_t for lunch and also managed to skype eglantine_br and say hello to Hazel :)

In other important news, my kitties are growing up. Josh, the black and white one, has the most absurdly large fluffy paws which seem to grow bigger every night. Both of them enjoy hanging out on my desk while I'm working and several of my work calls have been interrupted by enthusiastic purring!

He is a darling <3 And a complete pest! He's ridiculously cuddly and has the softest fur I have ever got my paws on. Wonder if his namesake's beard is just as soft? ;)

Oh yes, the kitties are a great asset to our work :) It was lovely to see Hazel, though she always seems somewhat distrustful of Skype :}

They really are quite ridiculously gorgeous. My desk has been completely colonised though. In fact Josh would take up permanent residence on my laptop keyboard if I let him!

I'm sorry that work's been such a nuisance. At least you and Nodbear had a good time and it's exciting to hear how well the book is going -- I can't wait to read it! Have the cats been keeping you focussed?

The little girl is called Niko and she is a precious dainty little thing. She is also an incorrigible thief who steals anything she can get her paws on.

I'm astonished that nodbear and I have got as far as we have with the book what with all the upheavals we've had over the last year or so. We're determined to get it finished though! :)

Can't say the cats kept us focussed = well except on them ;)

they are truly gorgeous They did try to assist with some of the editing Josh made a real entry of about five lines of 98888899999 ;) which just reminded me of when I doze off at the keyboard.
Good that we have made some more progress on the book - we are getting to the squint and you can see the end stage certainly

I think Josh made a very important contribution to chapter 6! We better make sure we cite him correctly. I'll check the style guide for footnoting kitties ;)

I think we did very well in deed to get anything done at all, what with kitties, work, swimming, homework, rugby, etc, etc, etc!

Yes - sadly we don't have any knowledge of cats on the Indy = other than through eglantine_brs little member of the Middy's berth of course.
We know George Cadogan was a cat lover in later life though so maybe it is not to hard to imagine .

We're getting there, but you'll have to squint studiously for a good while yet. I hope you won't be cross eyed before we make it into print!

You are quite right, the kitties are complete hooligans. However they are so cute it's impossible to scold them and I fear they will grow up to be terribly spoilt :}
