When we got back from holiday we discovered that our neighbours have got a new puppy. *Awwww* And guess what he's called? Archie :D He's an adorable (of course) black spaniel (of course) with velvet ears and puppy dog eyes that would melt the heart of even the most repressed and angst ridden junior officer. Sadly I don't have a picture of Archie the puppy, so you'll have to make do with this Archie instead ;)

A next door spaniel is a splendid thing. You will get to hear people calling "Archie!" day and night. Plenty of wiggle, and soft bare tummy, and cold nose...

I hope you all get to pet him often. (Since we cannot pet the other one.)

I hardly can believe that he was mid-20's when this was done. He really does look about 17.

That is always stunning and yes when you compare him now in his handsome early middle age ...
it made me think about 'our ' boys and how we have several of them in pics as very pretty young men and just one of them really as a very old man. I wonder what they looked like in mid life - rather more weathered than Jamie I guess but it still would be fun to know.
Hoping I can meet Archie (puppy Archie) fairly soon * makes sort of puppy eyes this end*
