Today's ear worm is the Napoleonic war ballad "The Bonny Light Horseman" by Nic Jones. In terms of music I am playing continually at the moment it's Corelli's Twelve Concerti Grosso Op 6. Gorgeous!

What's your favorite season?
I am definitely a Winter person and am becoming more so as I get older. Although I also love the points of the year where the seasons turn.

Whatever dvd daughter put on! Monsters vs Aliens I think. Last "grown up" film I watched end to end? The Even Chance :)

23.00 - 01.00 Though I always feel guilty for staying up too late!

I'd probably split most of it between my daughter, my sister and a charity (probably Amnesty) but I might keep some to buy a painting.

A cliff top on a high blue day; dancing; sitting on my ass reading a million books while breastfeeding tiny daughter.

What's the last thing that made you happy?
Daughter, partner, fangirls in random order!

Do you want to learn another language?
Seriously need to improve my Gaelic before daughter goes to school. Also wish I hadn't cheated at Highter Latin and got my mother to do my translations!

Books, music, internet, wine, aquarians & pisceans. I pay no attention to such things as birth signs and horoscopes but can't help noticing that all my closest friends and family throughout my life have been aquarians and pisceans!

Cool, I am an Aquarian! :) I don't usually pay attention to star signs either ... but it's funny as you say how these things can work -- I have an odd friend-birthday pattern myself, with most of my circles of friends comprising two people born in February and two in late spring-early summer. Very odd.

I really did cheat! I passed the exam on the basis of the poetry (two entire chapters of the Aeneid), the history and the interpretation. Couldn't do the translation at all!

*g* It's not something I became aware of until fairly recently but it is quite striking! Btw I have decided that Archie's birthday is the 12th February 1776 and nobody is going to convince me otherwise!

Re the Virgil, the strangest thing about it is that I walked into my exam with all those lines firmly fixed in my head and when I walked out again they were all gone. Erased, just like that! Poetry kind of sticks in my head with very little conscious effort but Virgil is the only poetry I have learned and then forgotten completely!

It's true! I kept a list of all the books I read in the first few months I was feeding and there are about forty odd of them! We didn't have a tv at the time so I just sat and read. It was great, daughter was a very easy care baby :)
