Huzzah! Today I received my ill begotten gains from the wonderful [livejournal.com profile] joyful_molly. Lookit! Isn't it purty? :)

And inside there are wonderful treasures including The Reading of The Last Voyage of HMS Dover and an extravagant pile of handmade chocolates. Also Dr Maturin's turtle seems to have found its way into the treasure chest. Could someone signal Captain Aubrey and tell him we have their Tetsudo aubreii?

I haven't had a chance to enjoy The Last Voyage of HMS Dover yet but having listened to a little snippet I can confirm that far from being the Florence Foster Jenkins of dramatic reading [livejournal.com profile] joyful_molly is the Ute Lemper of Age of Sail story telling! :)

[livejournal.com profile] nodbear is on holiday at the moment so she will have to wait till next week to enjoy her winnings. Meanwhile I am going to have lovely weekend enjoying my Prize!

THANK YOU MS COLLINGWOOD, YOU'RE A TREASURE!

ETA I have now listened to The Last Voyage of HMS Dover and it is a delightful tale that leaves you with a smile! :D

It is a gorgeous prize :)

Don't worry about Tetsudo Aubreii he has been adopted by my four year old daughter who has improbably named him "Fluffy". Fluffy is now hanging out with a giraffe called Leafy.

Only if he does natural philosophy to things. =) Which reminds me - this fic is hilarious: http://takadainmate.livejournal.com/137931.html I can't believe no one's done a tentacle fic in the Age of Sail fandom until now.

Definitely do! It's not as irksome as it should sound, and it's very funny!

Thanks again so much for your generosity. I'm very, very happy that you enjoyed it, and the pleasure was all mine. :)

the Ute Lemper of Age of Sail story

AHAHAHA! Oh Gods, I'd give anything if I had that woman's looks - LEGS! Her legs are longer than I am! Thanks so much for this lovely compliment. :-D

*squints* You looks just fine from here sweetie! :D Actually speaking as a very short brunette, tall leggy blondes are waaaay over rated ;) However you certainly share Ms Lemper's captivating delivery!
