Because it's been a while since there's been a Pointless Post around here....

Daughter was watching Balamory yesterday...

"Look mum, that's Archie's house. It's pink, but he's a man. Archie lives in a castle with a flag."

And there you have it.

I'll bet he did!

Daughter was on a retro tv kick. She has long since grown out of Balamory and no longer finds it amusing. Unlike her mother obviously ;)

Did I tell you about the local Oxfam bookshop which had raised money for two goats, one called Archie. They were having a competition to choose a name for the other one. All the Mylodon females, separately, gave the same suggestion. There are no prizes for knowing what it was.

There. A man with red(ish) hair can not only wear pink, he can live in it. And raise a flag!

Ha! Yes indeed :) Although that particular Archie has a penchant for pink kilts, which is slightly worrying really!

I had never heard of Balamory before now, and thought it might be the basic horses n' corsets drama. I assume you start them young in your house. *g*

Rofl! I'm sure there must have been a pony in Balamory at some stage but I don't remember any corsets!

assume you start them young in your house. *g*
Absolutely! It's never too soon to introduce children to the appreciation of Navyboys. Partner thinks it's highly entertaining to ask daughter "What does mummy like?" To which she cheerfully replies "Sailors!" Can't really argue with that... ;)
