The Four Georges
Jan. 21st, 2011 02:30 pmIt's Friday. Time for something silly. Many of you will already be devotees of cbbc's Horrible Histories which is quite possibly the finest history series ever broadcast on television. Most of my knowledge of the Georgian period outwith the Royal Navy comes from Horrible Histories Gorgeous Georgians sketches*. This is one of my favourites, and the only way I can remember the correct sequence of monarchs. Allow me to present the Four Georges singing Born to Rule.
*You think I'm kidding doncha? It's no word of a lie!

Date: 2011-01-21 07:32 pm (UTC)I'd only just gotten the llama song out of my head! ;)
I told a friend of of mine who studied history like me about this, and the day after she knew all the clips about the English kings and queens by heart. And keeps singing songs about English kings at me. D: This is a highly contagious plague!
