I've just received an offer for my flat which has been on the market for 6 months. If it goes through I will need to find a new place to live. I've been here for 15 years and I have very mixed feelings about moving. It's not the best part of town but I can see the masts and bowsprit of a rather beautiful tall ship from my front window (these things matter dammit!). However we need more space, daughter wants a house with "a garden and stones" and it would be nice to live somewhere where fewer of the locals are engaged in "pharmaceutical retail" shall we say ;)

Of course this also means I have to sort out lots of tedious grown up stuff. I've just spent all evening juggling finances rather than writing about the pretty sailor boys *sigh*. I have half a dozen unfinished fics in my drafts folder that I'm dying to finish but I suppose I will have to put on my sensible shoes and get out there and find a new place to live. Wonder if I can take the ship with me?

but think of it this way, once you find a new place to live and are settled in you can use the experiene to write 'Horatio and Archie have to find a place to live' fic.
