It's spring here so we went for a drive up to the Trossachs and found a lovely restaurant by the shores of Loch Venachar for lunch. Daughter spent the day being a pirate and killing us till we were dead :}
I did indeed aspire to expire gracefully! However after being cruelly slaughtered for the umpteenth time I declared myself dead and a ghost and therefor not eligible to be killed any more. At least I got to finish my coffee in peace ;)
I hope for you that you were one of those few ghosts that had still had some taste left, being so freshly dead. And hopefully the brew tasted pleasantly like coffee.
I ilke the sound of your wee pirate gal She had a stripey top, eye patch and a ferocious plastic cutlass. Oh and an imaginary ship armed with carronades.
It's very pretty indeed! Love the view of the loch. I've never been to Scotland, but lochs have fascinated me ever since I got a monster of Loch Ness stuffed animal when I was a child (not kidding). It was never the monster I was particularly interested in, but only the lochs. :) It looks more like late autumn, though. :p
Every child should have a Loch Ness Monster! It you do ever come to Scotland it's worth taking a trip up the Great Glen which bisects the Highlands from Fort William to Inverness and is make up of Loch Dochfour, Loch Ness, Loch Oich, Loch Lochy and Loch Linnhe. Partner and I sailed its length years ago in a teeny wee outboard cruiser and it was just magical. Loch Ness in particular is stunning.
ETA And yes it does look like late autumn, spring arrives late in these parts!
I know! What and I to do?! Although in daughter's defence she is fully aware of the distinction between pirates and navyboys and she knows where mother's affections lie ;) She also had an imaginary pirate ship yesterday and insisted it was armed with carronades rather than long guns!

Daughter is doing well and I hope you have aspired gracefully when you were defeated by the pirate?
