Stained Glass Ship
Apr. 19th, 2011 12:19 amSnapped in the Glasgow Art Club. This is one of a series of stained glass panels which form an internal screen. I don't know if this is contemporary with the building which dates to 1830, something makes me suspect it may be older. I've walked past it dozens of times and only noticed it very recently :)

I've been meaning to write a post for ages on all the AoS landmarks that I've suddenly started noticing all over Glasgow. There is even a Cadogan Street! Though it's named after George's brother Henry who died leading the 71st Highland Regiment of Foot at the battle of Vittoria.

Date: 2011-04-19 09:08 am (UTC)The Glasgow Art Club is an amazing building but I know that the members really struggle to maintain it as it requires a huge amount of work. I'm not a member but I go there to dance occasionally and it's always a pleasure.
