Thank you!

Thank you all for the lovely birthday wishes! I had a fabulous day watching the Tall Ships Race Parade of Sail as all the boats sailed out of the Firth of Clyde.

Thanks to eglantine_br and esmerelda_t for the cards, _likimeya for the birthday candles (and for putting up with the postal clerk ;), joyful_molly for the very handsome monkey (!), esteven for my quill (and yes, I do hope we can meet up later this year!) and katriona_s for the wonderful artwork (never in my wildest dreams did I ever imagine Archie would bring me a birthday cake :D And last but not least special thanks to nodbear for the ultimate AoS fangirl gift....

I haz a hammock!!!

    

And to go with my hammock I have a beautiful ticking pillow embroidered with an anchor and some lovely books to read in it. My hammock has already been a huge hit with daughter and partner, so much so, that I am lucky if I can get near the damn thing! As the weather round these parts tends to be somewhat inclement, and our cherry trees appear to be on their last legs, partner has bought me a hammock stand so I can hang it indoors. I had hoped to take a pic of the hammock on its new stand but partner dismantled it before I got a chance. Silly boy. I am now looking forward to many happy hours lazing in my hammock dreaming of navyboys :)
