-3C

It was -3C this morning when I took this picture and it's barely risen above freezing all day. And guess who's going out to the rugby tonight? Partner was wondering it they have under pitch heating, if they do, I will be down there lying on on the pitch!

Warm hugs always appreciated ;) Incidentally the icon is one of the trees on the right hand side of the path!

Tehee, I suspected that! That is, maybe not exactly the path, but your photo. :D

My mom used to say that! 'Freeze the balls off a brass monkey!' also 'Colder than a witches tit.'

Old sayings...

If you lie on the pitch maybe rugby players will fall on you! You would not want that, now would you?

Oh man, I haven't heard that phrase for years! That used to be quite a common saying when I lived in Stornoway. I wonder has anyone ever studied the extent of some of these old sayings? I bet they travelled by sea, and made their way inland via the ports.

I'm saying nothing.... ;)

Trying to remember Fahrenheit to Celsius conversion... if I'm right, we are having about the same temps here in the Inland Northwest US. Morning lows around -8 or -9 C. Days just above freezing. Clear skies, hardly any frost. Just enough that I have to scrape the windshield in order to drive, and a very tough bit of frost, takes forever to get it off.

Google sez -3 celsius is 26.6 fahrenheit which sounds much warmer! It's not often the temperature gets as low as -9 on the west coast of Scotland, though the winters definitely seem to be getting more erratic; either very, very cold or really mild.

I had it pretty close. I'm figuring the -9 C to be 15.8 F, and we had a couple of mornings that were in that range. Not unusual to have a stretch of 0 degrees F, or roughly -17.7 C. Trivia, -40C = -40F.

Do you walk through that park every morning? It's beautiful.

Is this the picture you took? This is beautiful! But I don't envy you to live in such temperature XD Take care!

I took the picture in the park beside where I live, after dropping my daughter off at the school bus. The light is often lovely at that time in the morning. Cold though! :}

two pairs if socks
two blankets to go over knees

Oh yes. Furry hat goes without saying! Shame your lads couldn't quite bring it home.

Couldn't quite bring it home?! They were bloody awful! I know they had players out for the Wallabies test, but Glasgow have absolutely no excuse for playing like that. I hope Gregor Townsend gave their collective arses a sound kicking!

I was thinking of the test rather than the Rabble Direct...

Beautiful picture!
Seems like you have more winter than we do :/ There is snow in Lapland, but in the south it's still not even freezing!

That's definitely not right! Are you going back to Lapland this year?
