Phew! Back.

I'm back. Just about in one piece. It was a pretty shit week to be honest but I'll spare you the grim details. Suffice to say, living with a confused and belligerent parent can be bit stressful. No rest for the wicked though, this week is going to be a leetle crazy. The university is formally reviewing my team for the first time ever, I have an all day meeting with a funding council rep followed by a dental appointment for root canal work and I am running a one day event in place of a colleague who is off with a heart condition. I'm also having to miss daughter's "graduation" from her nursery because of that event which is very annoying. However none of that matters because I am very, very glad to be home and greatly looking forward to catching up with fangirls and navyboys. Hope you've all been well over the last week and had fun with the pretty sailor boys while I've been away.

Oh, glad you are back. Sounds like you have a tough week ahead. Did they stack up work in your absence or what? Sailor boys have been in good hands while you were gone. I should have some writing up tonight or tomorrow.

It was a tough week but I'm very happy to be back. The work was all planned before I left, I have no idea yet what else has stacked up while I've been away!

Btw I had no internet access while I was away but I had parts of On Going Home saved on my phone so I really enjoyed re-reading those again. Will look forward to reading your latest installment :)

Welcome back! If you've never had a root canal before, don't bother getting stressed about it. The worst part is having to hold your mouth open for so long. Really not that bad.

Sage advice indeed. I'm a bit of a veteran when it comes to root canal work so I don't mind it too much, in fact I dozed off while having it done this afternoon!

I am seriously considering taking Friday off while daughter is at nursery and partner is at work. A whole day of splendid isolation with a little writing and navyboy appreciation would be bliss! ;)

Re root canals and confused parents. Give me the former any day. I happen to have a very good dentist though he does bear a slightly unsettling resemblance to Michael Schumacher!
